False Teacher Andrew Wommack (Whoa Mac!) Really, Stop! Stop Teaching Heresy!

aw1

Please Stop Listening To The False Teachings Of Andrew Wommack!  Here is a link to the video of Andrew Wommack teaching so that you know I’m not making this stuff up. https://youtu.be/i4BARuTQ-nc

He relies on his subjective feelings which he believes are being directed by the Holy Spirit to make decisions about where in the Bible he is going to study. This removes the ability to utilize proper hermeneutics. When he does this, he can’t have the broader context needed to harmonize scripture with scripture. This mystical decision making process is abiblical.

After picking the book of Numbers to study from, he skips the importance of the genealogies because he believes them to be tedious and boring. I wonder if he knows what theopneustos means?

At about 8 minutes and 16 seconds in he claims he makes it a habit to not teach things that are new for about a year, and that he sits on them, but of course he is going to break his own rule and teach a new teaching. What does the completely revealed finished word of God have to say about new teachings?

At about the 15 minute mark Andrew starts doing what many other false teachers do, he gets a concordance out and makes a hash out of Hebrew to invent a false teaching that is not in scripture and then impose it on his listeners. He uses it to claim that God does not afflict people. I wonder if he ever heard of Pharaoh, Jonah, Job, or for that matter the curse God inflicts all of Adam’s progeny? Just, wow!… We all know from reading the same scriptures Andrew is twisting, that Moses is disgusted with the people, and their selfish greed, and entitled feelings. Leading them was a great burden.

20 minute mark he starts on again about getting impressions from God and just knowing things in our hearts. This is no substitute for what God actually says in His word. How does one know if the idea that popped into their thoughts was not just of their own imagining, or even worse some demon speaking to them? I know, let’s ask Muhammad, Joseph Smith, or Ellen G. White… NOT!

He keeps abusing 1 Corinthians 10:11-13. I wonder what he would tell the martyrs? Don’t worry, the lions won’t eat you, the flames won’t be that hot… Come on… The intent of God in His word where He says, “God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability” in context means that you can make it through any circumstance by God’s grace. He provides a way out of sin, so that you won’t have to sin while being beheaded burned alive, cut off in traffic, being left behind by an adulterous spouse, the death of a child. You can go through these things, and by His grace, choose to not sin. It doesn’t mean bad things will never happen to you. This is insane.

This idea that the men appointed to help Moses was not from God is just more nonsense. Did not Christ have Apostles? Are the Churches to not have more than one Elder? Come on Andrew… Stop making such a hash out of scripture. You twist it like it is free. One day you’ll have to answer for all your twisting.

@ 26:50 he starts in again about suffering not being God’s will, and he is placing a tremendous works righteousness burden on the people listening to him, that he himself doesn’t even believe or perform. He preaches a, “life enhancement Christianity” that is just not true. We don’t have less suffering in our lives when we come to faith, matter of fact, we suffer for our faith, unless you don’t believe what God incarnate said in His own word. (Phil 1:29, 2 Thes, 1 Peter, and on and on) I can’t even begin to tell you how much it ticks me off to hear him talking about, “God’s best.” How does he know what is God’s best for you? We need to suffer. It is part of growing in faith. It is part of being sanctified. Again, what would this clown tell Polycarp while he was being martyred? “Oh Polycarp, you just don’t lay your burdens down on the Lord enough. You just aren’t using the faith God gave you. You need to try harder to be more spiritual like me because I don’t have any problems…” Yeah, right! Pack it in and go home Andrew before you hurt anyone else!!!

@ 30:10 Andy says, “God doesn’t put any negative things on us.” Well, God says in Isaiah 45:6,7

” 6 That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun

That there is no one besides Me.

I am the LORD, and there is no other,

7 The One forming light and creating darkness,

Causing well-being and creating calamity;

I am the LORD who does all these.”

or how about Deuteronomy 32:39,

“‘See now that I, I am He,

And there is no god besides Me;

It is I who put to death and give life.

I have wounded and it is I who heal,

And there is no one who can deliver from My hand.”

Oh and say, let’s not forget the flood, or Sodom and Gomorrah, or plagues and famines sent as discipline upon the people. Andrew’s theology is so anthropocentric it is no wonder his doctrines are so focused on life enhancement through the faith he invented. In Romans 1 we can see God’s punishment in the form of people worshiping created things. This includes anthropocentric religion as well. Romans 1:21-25 “21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” If your theology centers around man, you are an idolater.

@30:43 Wommack’s god doesn’t control any of the negative things that happen to us. His god isn’t sovereign.

So if 1 Corinthians 10 isn’t about not suffering, what is it really about? I’m glad you asked. It is about being tempted to sin against the Lord in several different ways. It is focused on the glory of God, and obedience to Him as worship. If you look at the verses in context you’ll see that, not only did God allow suffering, He caused it as punishment and discipline on His people for giving in to sin. Let’s take a look at the scripture in context. 1 Corinthians 10:1-13

” 1 For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea; 2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 and all ate the same spiritual food; 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness.

6 Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved. 7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “THE PEOPLE SAT DOWN TO EAT AND DRINK, AND STOOD UP TO PLAY.” 8 Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. 9 Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents. 10 Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11 Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. 12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”

In verses 1-5 we see that the ones, who persevered in faith in Christ, were the ones whom God was well pleased with. The rest God was putting under discipline. Verse 6 is pretty self-explanatory. Don’t go after the sin that they went after, duh! The first group of sinners mentioned was the idolaters, then the immoral out of which God killed 23,000. Next were the ones who doubted and tried the Lord, He sent serpents to kill some of them. Then there were the grumblers, the ones who complained about God’s providence. God destroyed them with the destroyer, an angel sent to kill them in the desert. After reading all of this in addition to the verse that so often gets twisted, we can see that God is talking about sin here. In Christ, He has provided a way out for His elect. We can choose to not sin, in any given temptation because we are no longer slaves to sin, but to Christ. The Holy Spirit is in us, we are born again, made dead to sin and alive to Christ. When temptation comes, fight against it with the promise of the gospel, and a view of Christ’s sufferings on the cross on behalf of you, because of your sins. If you do that, you won’t want to add suffering to Christ so to speak, not that you could, but figuratively because as we know all of your sin, past, present, and future, was paid for over 2000 years ago by Jesus.

I watched the rest of the video and there was more and more about God telling you what to do in some mysterious way, via a word, or prompting. It was getting tedious and sickening to hear him keep burdening people with uncertainty, when the Bible is so clear. People, IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO, READ THE BIBLE!!!

@ 38:20 He talks about his skin cancer, and how he is committed to healing, so he won’t go to the doctor over it. Now you know as well as I do, even though he told other people to do what they wanted in that regard, he made it sound like he was superior and the example, because he is committed to healing. Obviously if they decided to go to the doctor, they must not be. This is spiritual malpractice. He could be costing people their health with this pernicious nonsense.

He then goes on to tell people they have created their financial burdens themselves. I agree that some people have, but what about medical hardships that cause financial hardships, oh wait… That’s your fault to for not being committed to healing. Silly me…

If this one lesson didn’t offer enough health and  prosperity false gospel for you, don’t worry…  He has many more available on youtube for me and others like me to correct.  Please take care, and read your Bible.  I agree with Andrew on that.  Read your Bible apart from his teachings.  Systematically study it from beginning to end.  If you do that, and still agree with Wommack, I pray the Holy Spirit will correct you.  Here is some more on Wommack.

  1. ive been challenged by several
people who have come into this new gospel! what does Galations 1:6-9 “if we or an angel preaches another gospel…let them be under God’s curse”( paraphrased)! i’ve looked up dozens of scripture that in context is all about taking up your Cross! Thanks for God’s Word of truth!!

    1. I agree completely with this article. One of the last things mentioned (Rev 22), is the consequences of adding or taking away even one word of scripture. I guess Mr. Wommack doesn’t read the Bible or he would know that. It also indicates that he does not fear the Lord as he should. He will not only pay for his sins but he will suffer greatly for those who were led astray by his false teachings. That’s going to burn I imagine. Always pray for discernment and test everything before accepting it as gospel truth.

      1. Yes, I so agree Penny. Once Scriptures get cherry-picked the truth will get buried.
‘ They put faith up on a pedestal and worship it – faith ‘. About 40 or so yrs ago the Lord put this into my mind and heart. I’ve never forgotten it.
Once I too was in this W of F movement. Thank God He showed me the truth. Being in it I had no peace at all for yrs !!
Sad how the devil uses these false teachers to distort God’s word. Think about this : Why did Jesus not teach His disciples to pray for prosperity and health ???
I fear for some of my friends who have bought into A. W. We are to follow our Lord Jesus not men who teach heresies ! ( take heed of Joyce Meyers) !!
It’s all in the Bible. There is so much written in God’s Word about discernment and to test EVERYTHING ! The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of TRUTH and will teach us what is truth.
Stay away from the Word of Faith Movement. It is full of error ! To research it go and check our Phineas Quimby ! Mary Baker Eddy and so forth. E.W. Kenyon brought distortions of the Bible right into the Church. After him came Kenneth Hagen !! Copeland etc … etc.
Christians beware of this false “ gospel “ which is NOT the Gospel of Jesus Christ at all.

      2. Hi again Penny.
Do you know what ‘ decontextualization of Scripture ‘ means ? Another word is
‘ cherry- picking ‘. Taking Bible verses here and there to ‘ build ‘ a belief system on that sounds good to our carnal nature….. our old man is supposed to be dead ! Nothing appeals more to the flesh than wealth and health. Suffering is a dirty word
Decontextulization is the wrong use of the written Word to substantiate what the
false teacher believes personally and passing it on as The Truth.
One cliche is used by these people : “ The Lord showed me. “. Yeah right.
Whenever something ‘New ‘ is taught it usually comes with this ‘ The Lord showed me ‘ . If you sense a red flag 🚩 take heed.
I must say this : “ my Bible is still the ‘ old ‘ Bible.
People out there, check out the Bible with friends who are grounded solidly in it !!!
The wolf – lion is roaming around out there looking for immaturity in Believers !!!
        Check EVERYTHING OUT !!!

      1. You, “feel a lot of hate?” in my comments… Who talks like that? I don’t care what you feel. I care more about what you think. Feelings are fickle and change often. Beliefs, and thoughts hold more weight with me. I don’t hate A.W. I hate his false teachings, and the fact that he is leading all these poor, gullible, well intended, people astray. I pity A.W. if he truly believes what he says he does, because he is still deaf, and blind. He is a blind guide leading the blind. I pity those who follow him more than I pity him.

  2. Yes! Please stay away from Andrew Wommack and his Bible College–Charis Bible College. They are now associating openly with the “New Apostolic Reformation” (Bill Johnson-Bethel Church in Redding, CA). My husband supported Wommack as a Grace Partner for a number of years and at retirement came up to the small mountain town in SO CO where his compound is located. He never made it past orientation. Very cult-like and controlling. Unfortunately, we bought a house here and it will be another year before we can move. Wommack is definitely a presence in this small mountain town–sort of like Scientology in Clear Water Beach, FL!!

He was adamant about me putting everything I have learned to this point and listen to him! that sent red flags up in my spirit. I researched him, and to my conclusion was him teaching heresy and inherent of God’s Word. I Praise God for His Spirit of truth in me!

  3. So let’s break down Marion’s comment on my article. I’ll add [my comments] in brackets.

So grateful for Andrew Womack’s [false] teachings. The true [false] Gospel, the goodness of Jesus Christ., I recieved Healing frim an incurable skin condition as a result of his teachings. [If you truly had an incurable skin condition, I am certain you were not healed of it due to Wommack’s teachings. If in fact you were healed it was due to it being the will of God, and would have occurred whether you were in the Wommackian cult or not.] I understood for the first time that God wants us well, [What about Job? Eventually God made him well, but He did allow satan to make him very Unwell. God wants all people to be saved, but they are not. That would be an example of His permissive will. If God decreed that all people would be saved, then all people would be saved. Obviously He doesn’t want all people to be healthy in His decreed will. We know this because people are ill. Also, people die. If the Wommackian teachings were true, then Andrew himself will not die an mortal death, but he will, and you will go on believing in him.]
Out authority in Christ is imperative to understand, O have seen so many walk free of pain etc as a result of laying on if hands and commanding symptoms to leave bodies. Praise Jesus! [If this is true, I command you in the authority that you say I have in Christ to go to the children’s ward at you local hospital, and heal all of the little children with cancer, burns, and any other fatal diseases. If you and the other Wommackians are right, you should have no problem with this, but you are all fooled, and have believed lies, so this won’t happen. Also, go to the abortion clinics and resurrect all the dismembered babies.]
Sorry you have such a distorted view of the true nature of God and the good news of Jesus Christ.
Praying you will be set free! The god of world has blinded you to the truth. [Yeah, what you said!]
    Amen!

      1. God will heal who He chooses to heal. There are not Apostles anymore. God does not heal everyone who comes to Him in the here and now. Those who are His, have perfect health in eternity. It is part of the promise. It is not for right now. Sure, God heals some people now, but not as an act of their will in faith, but as an act of His will using their faith that He has given them as part of the providence of God. Some people we pray over passionately still die. It is not a failing of our faith, it is the effect of the curse, due to the fall of mankind in Adam.

      1. That is not what Wommack teaches. He teaches that if you have enough faith, you can have physical health and wealth right now, because you already have it in eternity. He is a false teacher. You should not follow him.

    3. so what happens if you, believing in his word of faith prayer, are not healed? do you have weak faith? Apostle Paul speaks in the Scriptures of suffering for Christ, “the Fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His Death! Our bodies will corrode and die! “Though our outward man perishes our inward man is being renewed daily” ! Sometimes our faith in Christ is made stronger, our trust depended when we are not healed!

  4. Predicated on your article and the comments that followed the article, simply put, why should someone believe you? Further, do you believe your understanding of scripture promotes life and that more abundantly in Jesus Christ? I also noticed in your article all the examples where Old Testament any reason why you did not provided any New Testament? Will be looking to read you response if any!

    1. Did you watch the video? Did you follow along and look at the commentary? If you did, you wouldn’t be asking that question. He made references to Old Testament scriptures, but did not exposit them correctly. The book of Numbers is from the Old Testament, and that was the source for his lesson. I was responding to those. Yes, my view of scripture is one of true life in Christ, lived for His glory, not my own. I affirm the entire Bible. Some people only affirm the parts they like.

    2. ok… the Apostle Paul wrote in scripture, which he would always say “ according to the scriptures”, Suffering is very scriptural! Romans 5:3-4 read it! 2nd Corinthians 11:27-28! in fact 2nd Cor. 11:16-33 is all about suffering

  5. (Here is how Wommackians respond to polemics against their golden calf.) Your jealousy of Andrew Wommack’s call, preaching, knowledge of the Bible, and prominence in the church isn’t very becoming. Grow up. He’s an amazing man of God who has helped thousands of people. Who have you helped by your criticisms?

    1. i think what people need to do, is not take for granted what is said at the pulpit as truth, but read and study God’s Word for themselves. The Holy Spirit will reveal Truth to those seeking Truth! In God’s Word you will find a deeper relationship with the Author of Truth, The Father, and a
closer relationship to Jesus Christ! He will teach thru all aspects of His life by things we suffer, trusting Him during those times of famine, it’s called the fellowship of His sufferings being made comfortable to His Death. It’s not us being rich, famous, or having a title! ” What
profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul” ! prosperity preaching of health and wellness is not scriptural! Apostle Paul and the others new it very well, they didn’t have all things either, why should we live any differently?! If Jesus had no place to lay His head, how do we learn of Him, if all we had to do was ” pray believing, ask and you shall receive! What trust or faith is learn in that!

  6. Here is a recent comment from a man named Nole. I will add my comments in brackets.
This has to be the most pathetic group of people purporting to be bible scholars. [I never claimed to be a bible scholar, but technically anyone studying the Bible is a Bible scholar, so… ok. Nice to be called pathetic for warning people about a heath and wealth prosperity teacher’s false gospel.] I came here trying to find out about Andrew Wommack and all i find is people united by their hatred for a preacher and a certain strain of ministry [by, “certain strain of ministry” I assume you mean the false gospel he preaches.] and offering nothing in terms of sound bible evidence except the writers exalted knowledge of theology. [oooh I’m so shook by your comment. I don’t know who exalted my knowledge… Perhaps you just came here to insult me, and defend the false teacher?] I am a preacher who needs real life examples and theological not opinions and church doctrine clashes. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves for the hate that is on thios blog and all the failed christians talking about my husband used to support so and so. America really is a cess pool of mind games without biblical substance and evidence of a new testament church. Strip away your fancy buildings and sound systems and you guys are a s sick as any sinner. [I hope you feel better getting all that off your chest. Perhaps if you listen to his videos, and compare his teachings to scripture, you will understand why the false gospel he teaches is false. Andrew is a health, and wealth guy. It is his bread and butter. If you teach that a Christian should not be sick, or ill, because they already have perfect health in eternity, in Christ, then you are wrong. That is what Andrew teaches. He teaches that since you are a Christian, you pray in faith, and get here and now, what you already have in eternity. This is just dangerous false teaching, plain and simple. It is pastoral malpractice. In Christ, I am hole. I am healthy and righteous, and at peace with God, but that does not mean that I am not here and now suffering the noetic effects of sin. Due to Adam’s sin, we are cursed by God. We will know want, sickness, suffering, and death. For those who are in Christ, we know that those things are temporary, for this life, here and now. We know what we will be when we are resurrected into our new bodies in glory. Wommack conflates the two realities, and tricks people into believing a lie. We cannot have now, what is promised as a reward in eternity. I hope you repent of your malignant comments.]

  7. Regarding anyone teaching the Word, “You will know them by their fruit.” I saw & see the fruit of Andrew’s ministry and it’s not good. He will be held accountable one day for all of those that he led astray with “some” of his teachings. Notice I said “some.” When I first got saved back in the early 90’s, Andrew was a huge part of my growth. He planted good seeds but I have slowly seen what he has evolved into over the years and my soul is sad over it. I noticed changes a few years ago and it’s gotten progressively worse. There is now a smugness and arrogance that lacks the meekness & humility that he once had. Did any of you see his video on Palm Sunday 4/5/2020 “Communion?” I only watched it because my son did. He knew that I followed Andrew off and on. He said, “Mom, I don’t want to say anymore or go any further about this, but you need to be warned about Andrew.” My son has known Andrew’s ministry since my salvation. He grew up with Andrew as a toddler but he too has seen the changes over the years. After the Communion video, he told me that he unsubscribed from anything & everything that involved him and encouraged me to do the same. I watched the video only because I wanted to see what he might have said that moved my son to distance himself. Again, I love brother Andrew. My heart just breaks to see how deep he has gotten into his own teaching to the point of twisting scripture. Paul warns us about men in the church like Andrew doing exactly what he’s doing which is false teaching. I am grateful for what he taught me at a time in my life where I was growing but this is a man now that is telling the same stories in 2020 that he was telling in 1994. This should not be. He should be telling new stories of all that God has done & is doing PERSONALLY in his life (besides his glorification of his bible college/liberty council, etc.) and not continually rehashing his past. I look back on the last year of my own life and see all that God has done, and it’s been amazing. So, it’s like a person who USED to be very successful and when they’ve grown old and gray, they sit on the porch and talk about how great they were. You can only listen to it for so long before you just want to know what’s happened over their past week or year however Andrew cannot do that away from the branches of his own ministry.

    1. What concerns me most with Wommack is his teaching of a false gospel with no power to save. That is not to say that nobody got saved under his teaching. God will save those He intends to save, and does not fail in what He is doing. Andrew preaches that you already have health, and wealth in eternity, so by faith you are to lay hold of those things now in this temporal material world, and that if you don’t it is due to your lack of faith, and you might not even be born again. I am just nut shelling it here. These ideas are not Biblical. He doesn’t preach the true gospel of Christ, alone. He adds to it these other things that you must muster out of your faith. He makes regeneration a thing you control by making a decision for Christ. There are so many errors that I am surprised anyone follows him, even though it shouldn’t surprise me. He tickles the itching ears.

      1. Bob, Curious about your statement that ” God will save those He intends to save”- what does that mean, does that mean that God is partial and people are subjected to how He feels that day and if you pleased Him enough that day that God will spare your life. Last time I checked, God is impartial, not shifting and changing. God’s desire is for everyman and woman to come to the knowledge of Him and be saved (Saved, healed, delivered meaning in greek – powerful meaning of the word in greek). Could you please explain what you meant by that comment and what is the true gospel that you know? Thank you.

      2. God is not capricious. He is sovereign. He elected in eternity past who He would justify. He ordained the means. He completed the work Himself, and He gets all of the glory. Justification does not rely on sinful man’s choice. It is by the sovereign will of God. Ephesians 1, and Romans 9, lay it all out in brief. If t hat isn’t enough to teach God’s election, we can look at the entire Bible, and see God’s election all over it. Israel didn’t ask to be God’s chosen people. God hardened Pharaoh’s heart. God saved only Noah, and his family. God chose His prophets, they did not choose Him. Jesus chose His Apostles, and they followed Him. Paul did not choose first before Christ blinded him, and commissioned him to be an Apostle. Paul was on his way to kill more Christians. Jacob I loved, Esau I hated, and this was while they were still in the womb, and had done nothing. We only choose to follow God, when He makes us born again by the power of His Holy Spirit. The gospel in a nut shell, is repent of your sins, can trust the finished work of Chris on the cross to justify you to the Father. You can only do that once you have been regenerated by the power of the Holy Spirit, according to the will of the Father. God is immutable. God has aseity. God did not plan to save every human being, everywhere, in all times. He planned to save all types of people, in many different places, during many different times. If He purposed to save all men, then all men would be saved, as God does not attempt to do something, and fail. The human will cannot thwart the sovereign will of God. If you can read Ephesians 1, and Romans 9, and come up with something different, I don’t see any reason to keep discussing this. This is the position the Church has held for a very long time.

        Ephesians 1:1-7
        (NASB Strong’s)
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus  by the will of God,
To the  saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus: 2  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5  He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6  to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7

        Ephesians 1:11-12
        (NASB Strong’s)
11  also we  have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.

        Romans 8:28-30
        (NASB Strong’s)
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

        Romans 9:10-18
        (NASB Strong’s)
10  And not only this, but there was Rebekah also, when she had conceived twins by one man, our father Isaac; 11 for though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls, 12 it was said to her, “The older will serve the younger.” 13 Just as it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
14  What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! 15 For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate MY power in you, and that MY name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.” 18 So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires.

        1 Peter 1:1-2
        (NASB Strong’s)
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood:

It is literally all throughout God’s word. Man, while in his sinful nature, only desires to feed his carnal desires. Only after he is born again, from above, will he in his spirit, agree with God, and desire to please Him, even still he remains in the unredeemed flesh, and fights a war against sin. He often fails, and sins. This fact does not negate the justifying work of God, nor does it thwart His will to bring His elect to their end. He will cause them to persevere, and He will sanctify them. When they die, He will bring them into glory. They will be with Him for all eternity. The people who have not been granted the repentance and faith that lead to life will die in their sins. They will be in Hell for all eternity. God will be there pouring out His wrath on them. God is omnipresent, so don’t try to tell me He isn’t pouring out His wrath on sinners in Hell. God transcends His creation. He transcends space and time. He will be glorified by those He demonstrates His mercy on, and He will be glorified by using the others to demonstrate His justice on.

    2. It seems brother Wommack has settled into a comfy gig. It goes like this: Signs and Wonders, step right up! But they’re YOUR responsibility!

Normally, a Pentecostal had to travel and produce results. His Faith combined with the Faith of the people and miracle healings resulted. Of these things I have no doubt. Some figured out a way to package the travelling show into a teaching manual. Brother Hagin and others. This becomes “Word of Faith” doctrine. It’s denied outright by many of a more Calvinistic bent, but it’s no heresy in and of itself.

Look. All Wommack does is encourage people to stand on 2 Peter 2:24–“By his stripes we were healed.” Great. But he’s managed to work it into a multi-million dollar business. In this he’s probably not the first.

We all need to know that Pentecost is a leavened Feast. The flesh encounters the Spirit according to Joel’s prophecy. There’s some typology here which is hinted at but not explicitly explained in the NT. Hebrews has a few things to say.

If anyone has any real dirt on this ministry please come forward and report it to the Roy’s Report. Unfortunately these teaching ministries are able to operate as churches and avoid the tax forms of a non profit corporation, which is what they really are.

Let all Gods people work for unity and purity in the body of Christ, his glorious bride.

      1. There are people with dirt. His former daughter-in-law could tell you a lot of things, but I didn’t want to put it all out without being able to verify all of it. It is some pretty rancid stuff.

  8. But the guy has seen multiple miracles of healings, transformation of lives and many more in his ministry. How many have you seen in yours, how many of you have ever raised someone from the dead or opened a blind eye or made the lame of walk by the power of God. You’re just a bunch of people who have made yourselves the police of the Church. That’s wrong brothers and sisters. I’m sure that’s not what God has called you to do so you better find out what your calling is and run your race because Andrew is running his.

    1. One of the jobs of elders is to be on the lookout for false teachers/wolves. Here are a couple sections of scripture; “1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; 3 and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter; 7 and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men 8 (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds), 9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority.
Daring, self-willed, they do not tremble when they revile angelic majesties, 11 whereas angels who are greater in might and power do not bring a reviling judgment against them before the Lord. 12 But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed, 13 suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you, 14 having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children; 15 forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 but he received a rebuke for his own transgression, for a mute donkey, speaking with a voice of a man, restrained the madness of the prophet.
17 These are springs without water and mists driven by a storm, for whom the black darkness has been reserved. 18 For speaking out arrogant words of vanity they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, 19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved. 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them. 22 It has happened to them according to the true proverb, “A DOG RETURNS TO ITS OWN VOMIT,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.” 2 Peter 2

25 “And now, behold, I know that all of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will no longer see my face. 26 Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. 27 For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God. 28 Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; 30 and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them. 31 Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears. 32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified. 33 I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or clothes. 34 You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my own needs and to the men who were with me. 35 In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:25-35

So, as you can see, it is appropriate to police the flock for false teachers/wolves. Not my words, but God’s words. Here are some scriptures about miracles; “21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ Matthew 7:21-23”

I don’t believe for a minute that Wommack has worked any miracles. All he has are lying signs and wonders. If he truly has perfect health in eternity, that he has access to here and now via faith, why does he wear eye glasses? Why did he get skin cancer? Why do people get sick and die who attend his church? When Jesus was ministering here on Earth, He completely healed, and made whole, those who came to Him. There were no sick people among the people after He healed them. If Wommack’s kid came back to life, it was because God willed it, not because Wommack exerted some special knowledge about faith. That is Gnosticism. It is not Christian. His so called miracles bring fame, notoriety, and money to him, not Christ. Wommack robs Christ of His glory.

      1. You spend a lot of energy tearing down your fellow whom you may not even ever personally met just like the religous teachers in Jesus day Maybe you should actually go and meet the man before you go about calling him false. Maybe you should pull the plank from your own eye first.

      2. I have listened to what he preaches, and teaches. It is enough. I don’t have to bring a wolf into my home to know what its nature is. I simply have to have seen what it does to the flock. Thanks for calling me a hypocrite.

      3. the book of 2Timothy 2, says to study the scriptures to show thyself approved rightly dividing the Word of Truth! Read also 2 Timothy 2:14 just before the previous quote!! again in 1st Timothy 6:3-5! Someone needs to expose the lies, if not by the very Word of God this one claims to preach from! Everything will be exposed by the light!

  9. Andrew Wommack is much more evil than a cherry picker. He leads vulnerable sick people to believe that god does not allow for disease and that if you are not healed it is because you have no faith. This message has made him wealthy (net worth > $10 million).
As a physician, I recently proposed to him that it would be easy for him to prove his miraculous cures by getting 10 different physician testimonials combined with the testimonials of the people who were cured. If this was put in a blog on social media, it would go viral and Christianity would expand dramatically throughout the world. Wommack would be revered. His answer was that I should “watch the healing journeys that we have on our website”. It is therefor obvious to me that he has no such testimony and is unable to look for it. Andrew Wommack is a money changer headed for the lake of fire. If I were on his staff, I would resign immediately rather than follow him and his 20 pieces of silver.

    1. I agree, and it is rare that someone would speak out against his pastoral malpractice. If you behaved as he does you would lose your license to practice medicine. His teachings are responsible for much pain, and suffering. People don’t get the medical attention they need, and some even die, because they have listened to him, and taken his advice. Luke was a physician. God ordains some healing through natural means, and that is His providence. Some people have claimed to have been miraculously healed by God intervening supernaturally, and I have seen some instances where that would seem true, but God does not use a man today, like He did during the Apostolic era of the Church. Pastoral malpractice is just as real as medical malpractice, and it can lead to eternal death, as well as physical death. I think pastoral malpractice is even worse than medical malpractice as its consequences are eternal.

  10. Dear Bob Snyder,

There is a lot of money to be made in the gospel.

Andrew Wommack makes a lot of money & often references other ministers by name:

Dr. Dollar, Pastor Creflo Dollar, Pastor TD Jakes, Pastor Kenneth Copeland, Pastor Benny Hinn….And more….It’s a will oiled machine.

    Tax the Hell out them

    1. It is evident by his teachings, that all he cares about is the money. Many false teachers today only care about worldly wealth and power. It boils down to the three p’s of being a cult leader. Power, power over people. Profit, making a buck and getting rich off of the dupes. Perversion, they are always using their dupes for sex. These three things help you figure a group out pretty quick.

  12. Bob,

Andrew Wommack and Pastor Benny Hinn will be @ Andrew’s bible college August 8-12, 2023 for a healing ceremony.

Question. How does Benny Hinn make people fall backwards? Pastors have seen it & say something supernatural is doing it. Here is 1 of many Benny Hinn videos.

    1. He doesn’t make them fall backward. They are going along with it, and pretending. There are some who are so deceived they get themselves all hyped up, and actually believe this nonsense. I know, because I was a Pentecostal at one time. What is happening is not of God. It is deception, and pastoral malpractice.
